GivingTuesday 2025

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy for worthy causes making a global impact. 

Theta Foundation hosted its first GivingTuesday in 2015 to support the Give to Lead, Give to Learn endowment campaign to establish a need-based scholarship program and endow the Educational Leadership Consultant (ELC) program. Since then, GivingTuesday has enabled Theta Foundation to secure nearly $1.5 million to support Kappa Alpha Theta’s greatest needs. 2025 marks Theta Foundation's 10th year celebrating GivingTuesday!

The Theta Forever Fund represents unrestricted monetary donations to Theta Foundation. Just as Theta Foundation has existed to support the goals and dreams of Thetas since 1960, it continues to facilitate resources and programs to provide even more opportunities to more Thetas. The Theta Forever Fund helps ensure the Theta experience lives on for future generations.

Unrestricted donations to the Theta Forever Fund bridge the gap between educational and leadership expenses and the memories Thetas make on campuses and in their communities. Gifts on GivingTuesday to the Theta Forever Fund (as well as unrestricted donations throughout the year) are used for Theta Foundation's annual grant to the Fraternity, the costs that enable Theta to fulfill its mission, and the programs that keep Theta at the forefront of women’s leadership and learning.

Yes! Theta Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable and educational nonprofit organization. All donations on GivingTuesday are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of U.S. law. You will receive a receipt for your donation to the email you included on your donation form.

Due to the increased giving activity and engagement on GivingTuesday, it is the only day of the year that Theta Foundation is unable to process honor/memorial gifts for donors. Your ability to make an honor/memorial gift will resume on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
